Fish Hoek Primary School offers each pupil a well-rounded musical experience. We strive to adapt each lesson to suit the pupils needs. We aim for each pupil to regularly perform in our music concerts, weekly assemblies and eventually take part in internationally recognized exams or eisteddfods.
We offer Tuition in Piano, Guitar, Violin, Ukulele, Drumkit, Saxophone, Trumpet, Flute, Clarinet, Recorder and Vocals.
Fee Structure
- R462 per a month for one 30-minute lesson weekly
- R756 per a month for two 30-minute lessons weekly.
- R262.50 per a month for one 30-minute group lessons (instrument dependent)
What takes place in individual lessons
- Tuition in chosen instrument by a seasoned professional
- Pupils will be taught to read music for their instrument
- Music theory
- Aural and ear training
- Sight-reading or Sight-singing
Music exams
- Pupils are prepared to take part in the Trinity College of Music examinations in both their chosen instrument and Music theory yearly, this is an internationally recognized exam.
- All pupils will be examined in Term 2 and 4 by the Head of Music and given a report termly.
- Pupils are also given the opportunity to take part in yearly eisteddfods
